Yen Tu Holy Mount

Yen Tu Mountain located near Halong Bay – a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site is well known in Vietnam, carrying a mighty history, a great spirit, and a spectacular nature. In the 13rd century, Emperor Tran Nhan Tong abdicated his throne and vowed to follow the ascetic practice of a Buddha’s student in Yen Tu. He unified the Dai Viet Buddhist schools and founded the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Sect – Vietnam’s own path to Enlightenment that reflects the traditional values and belief of its people.
