Thien Nien Pagoda
Thien Nien Pagoda has the literal name of Thien Nien Co Tu (Ancient Thien Nien Pagoda), the pagoda is also known as Sai Pagoda and the local name is called Trich Sai Pagoda. Temple in Trich Sai village, cluster 10, Buoi ward, Tay Ho district, Hanoi city

Thien Nien Pagoda mainly worships Buddha, in addition, it also worships Mother and worships Lady Chua weaver, Phan Thi Ngoc Do, concubine of Le Thanh Tong, who transmitted the weaving profession to the whole Bai An, Nghia Do region.

According to legend, the pagoda was built a long time ago on the basis of Bat Thap pagoda from the reign of Ly Nam De. The ground of the pagoda has Tam Quan, courtyard, garden, main pagoda, mother house, ancestral house, monk room, kitchen, tower garden of deceased ancestors. The main temple (ie, the front hall) consists of 4 roofs, roofed with our tiles, the roof bank is straight in the middle with the three words “Thien Nien Tu”. The Upper Palace is a house along 4 compartments connected to the front street. The Model Building and the Ancestral House are connected along the upper hall, followed by the living room and kitchen area.



On Tam Bao we see 38 beautiful and rare statues made according to the system: the set of Tam The Tac in the early 18th century, the set of A DI Da Tam Ton statues, the statue of Sakyamuni sitting in the middle, the statue of Quan Am sitting on the mountain. Adjacent to the wall on both sides of the Upper Palace is a set of statues of the Ten Palaces carved in the form of reliefs, the statues are very special, and the 10 Deities all show their own characteristics. This is a beautiful set of statues dating from the 19th century.



The pagoda was recognized as a historical-cultural monument in 1992.
