Ngoc Cam Monastery
Nestled amidst the timeless beauty of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site, lies the Tranquil Pagoda of Ngoc Cam, located at 56/53 Hung Vuong Street, Cam Pho Ward, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province.

Blending modernity with ancient charm, this pagoda bears the distinctive imprint of the Khất sĩ sect’s traditional architecture, featuring towers, ancestral houses, lotus ponds, lecture halls, monks’ quarters, pavilions, and facilities dedicated to the study and practice of Buddhism by monks and nuns.
With its three-story main hall spanning 720 square meters, the walls of the pagoda are adorned with copper reliefs depicting scenes of Buddha’s teachings and enlightenment, serving to educate young visitors and Buddhist followers about the path of spiritual practice and enlightenment.

Each Buddha statue within the pagoda is meticulously gilded with 24-carat gold, with the main hall housing a magnificent statue of the Buddha, cast in pure copper and gold plating. This distinctive feature of Ngoc Cam Pagoda imbues a sense of sanctity and tranquility that resonates with both worshippers and visitors alike.

Throughout its historical evolution, particularly following Hoi An’s designation as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, the pagoda has become a favored stop for international travelers. During significant Buddhist festivals like Vesak, celebrated on the fifteenth day of the fourth lunar month, thousands of worshippers and tourists flock to participate in prayers and ceremonies. Additionally, the pagoda regularly organizes meditation retreats and summer camps for Buddhist practitioners, students, and youths, attracting a large congregation of devotees and admirers of Buddhism from the region to partake in spiritual activities.
